But rap music is the epitome of Leftist nihilism. Why expose your children to it. Also, why have your children emulate black hoodlem culture? These are things we should be moving away from not embracing.
Well, I don’t agree with your sweeping characterization of rap, and thus I don’t share your concern. At the same time, I do not “expose my children” to rap, and my students all know where I stand on modern culture in general. Timothy made this video as a tribute to the HistoryAtOurHouse program. He decided on the form and style, and I don’t have any problem with it. Since rap music is a style that a lot of kids like, I think that using that medium to promote historical education is quite brilliant on his part.
