Readers of Powell History Recommends know that I’ve been offering a distance learning product for adults called “A First History for Adults” and a homeschooling history curriculum called “History At Our House” for a number of years now.  These programs have been used by hundreds of life-long learners and homeschooling families across America and the world, and the line of history products I have on offer continues to grow each year.

Since the inception of the History At Our House program, I have also been eager to expand the range of products that I offer to encompass the entire range of curriculum needs for individuals and families trying to cope with life during this Dark Age of education.

So I’m very excited to have created a partnership with composer and music scholar M. Zachary Johnson to create Music At Our House! This music appreciation and history course will make musical theory and history accessible to students of all ages.  It will be offered to students from elementary grades to high school, and to adults as well.  Here’s Mr. Johnson’s video introduction to the class.  Please check out www.MusicAtOurHouse.com for syllabi, and for more information about classes, which will start in January!
